The ALP ATCS001016 Cyclone is specifically designed for the particle separation in biomass and pharmaceutical processes such as compression and encapsulation, typically capturing between 90 – 99.9% of waste powder. Where required, the cyclone can incorporate a manifold for connection to ancillary equipment such as tablet de-dusters or capsule polishers.

It cyclone is proven to be equally effective in numerous other applications including sachet filling, spray drying, inhalation and any other process where excess dust is extracted. The captured waste material can be used for batch loss reconciliation, or even reintroduced to the process.

The cyclone connects to the process machinery via flexible hose or stainless steel pipework (multiple lines can be accommodated using a manifold). Inside the cyclone, vortex separation causes the solid particles to hit the outside wall of the cyclone and fall to the catch at the base of the cyclone. This allows ‘clean’ air to pass downstream (to the dust extraction source) and prevents a build-up of material in the filters, which can be time consuming and expensive to replace. For additional security, a filter can be integrated after the cyclone and before the vacuum source.

Ultra high efficiency cyclone:

The ALP ATCS001017 Cyclone is designed for very small particle separation. Its unique design, which combines three small particle separation cyclones, ensures the ability to reach over 90% efficiency when using particles as small as 50 microns.

 

Heat exchanger cyclone:

In biomass or emission control applications the flow is usually cooled down before passing through the cyclone. The ALP ATCS001018 Cyclone acts as a heat exchanger and cyclone separator allowing the separation process to occur while at the same time bring down the fluids temperature. This design reduces complexibility and work space by combing the two.

This cyclone is rated for temperatures as high as 500. When high flow rate or gradual cooling is desired, multiple cyclones can be coupled together as in the ALP ATCS001017 Cyclone.

Hydrocyclone:

The ALP ATCS001019 Cyclone is specifically designed for separation of heavier particles within a liquid mixture or separate heavy liquid from a lighter one.

This cyclone can be used in the food industry, such as potatoes, corn starch, wheat and oil industry. Furthermore, it can effectively be used for separating metal parts from cooling liquid in the metal industry or removing sand and clay from water in construction sites.

Alp supplies various underflow outlet adaptor nozzles where a small outlet diameter nozzle can be implemented in cases of small particles or fluid separation and larger outlet diameter nozzle in cases where large particle separation is desired.

Similar to Alp’s ATCS001016 Cyclone it also connects to the process machinery via flexible hose or stainless steel pipework. The long reducer increases the solid/liquid separation time assuring efficient vortex separation of the solid particles or droplets. Unlike Alp’s
ATCS001016 Cyclone it allows the separation of a heavier liquid within the flow mixture, enabling only the desirable lighter liquid to flow downstream.
